It’s not every day that the name of Deion Sanders is the butt of a joke, but this time, the fans are laughing at him rather than with him. The head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes is a man of the people, no doubt. His journey from one of the best athletes in the history of American sports to being a coach in the college division is inspiring, to say the least. But with all his success and glory, comes his share of leg-pulling, which the 2-time Super Bowl winner has always taken to kind.

He joined the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023 and managed to make a name for himself as one of the up-and-coming coaches in the NCAA. Though a lot of expectations resting on his shoulder, he couldn’t capitalize on it and had to witness a disastrous season by his team. The Buffaloes ended the season with a staggering record of 4-8 and at the bottom of the points table. Even with all the errors in the team, he continues to be a fan favorite who loves him for his personality. This time, it was Mike Epps who took a few comical shots at Deion over his Coach Prime persona.

In a clip that was released by Justin Whitehead, Mike Epps went on a long rant about Coach Prime and his recent journey in the NCAA. While the segment initially praised the former quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, Epps went on to mock Deion’s walk and the fact that his foot is missing two toes. Now, while the joke did seem in poor taste, Epps had the crowd laughing out loud with him.
Unc Shannon Sharpe ain’t have to do Deion sanders like that bruh 🤣😭💀
Shannon:”tThey almost had to take your leg not just the toes”
Deion:”First it was leg then they said life, but thank god it was just 2 toes”
Shannon:”So now you like a 3 toed sloth” 🦥 pic.twitter.com/EVNu0R7ApO

He said, “I’m happy for Prime time! He came all the way from HBCU man. Winning them games, Lil Wayne, everybody coming out, that’s a beautiful celebration man. ” Epps then proceeded to mock his walk and limped around the stage trying to imitate Coach Prime, which garnered a lot of laughs from the audience. While Deion’s injury might seem funny to a lot of people, it is important to note the struggle that went behind his healing, and the mere fact that he’s able to walk and run despite so many injuries in the past is inspirational on its own.

Dr. Steven Sheskier, the orthopedic surgeon who operated on Deion, commented on his situation and said, “They brought him to the hospital and found out relatively quickly that the cause of it was a blood clot in the femoral artery, one of the main arteries that go into your leg.” Later, Coach Prime had to undergo life-threatening surgeries because of the clots in his thighs after which, he has finally recovered and is raring to go for the oncoming season.
